Laboratory Technician

About the role

Fusion Technologies is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the team in Wacol, QLD. You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, supporting specialty chemistry formulation for oil and gas well servicing.

Key responsibilities

• Sample receiving, handling, testing, and disposal
• Laboratory analysis including client sample testing, viscosity/rheological testing, water analysis, benchtop wet chemistry, microbiology testing, and corrosion testing
• Surfactant evaluations and compatibility testing
• Hydraulic fracturing chemical fluid program design
• QA/QC testing on finished goods
• Research projects and non-routine/special client projects
• New product formulations
• On-site customer support at the wellhead
• Serving as a liaison to clients as required

About you

• Two (2) year technical diploma in a relevant field such as petroleum engineering or chemical technologist is required
• Four (4) year BSc. in chemistry or engineering degree is considered an asset
• Driving license with a clean driving record is required
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and adaptable
