About the Opportunity

Stawell Gold Mines are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our underground mining operation in Stawell, Victoria. This is a residential, full-time position offering stability, career progression and a strong team culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting routine metallurgical test work
• Preparing geological and metallurgical samples
• Performing routine assaying tasks
• Participating in site safety systems
• Supporting broader laboratory operations as needed
• Maintaining health, safety and environmental standards

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience in a mine laboratory or similar is desirable but not essential
• A current Victorian Driver’s License (mandatory)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A commitment to safety and teamwork
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

Desirable qualifications (not essential):

• Forklift License
• First Aid Certificate
