Casual or 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract | 8:6 | 7:7 Roster | Physically Demanding Role

Aurenne Mining is seeking a fit, reliable and motivated Laboratory Technician to work in our new exploration area that boasts a brand new 40,000 samples a month Photon Assay laboratory at our Mt Ida gold operation.

This is not a traditional laboratory role. It is a hands-on, physically demanding position involving repetitive manual handling and the loading of samples into the crusher system.

You will need to be comfortable lifting samples, working in a dusty environment and working efficiently to production targets while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and handle geological samples for processing
• Operate and monitor the Photon Assay system
• Complete sample and production records
• Perform repetitive manual handling throughout the shift
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Work closely with the laboratory and geology teams
• Meet daily and monthly production targets

About You

• Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual work
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Comfortable working in a production-focused environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous laboratory, mining, production or sample-handling experience is highly regarded but not essential
