Laboratory Technician

We currently have a vacancy at our modern facility at Inchinnan, in our CLAS compliant microbiology laboratory.

As a Lab Technician, you will perform routine testing of food samples in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures using classical and instrumental techniques.

Responsibilities will include:

· Conducting analysis of samples within a laboratory environment

· Organise and deliver work as assigned by Line Manager

· Ensure safe working practices in line with HSE policy, Risk Assessment and COSHH procedures

· Process results and convey them to the Technical/ Production teams within a timely manner

Candidate requirements:

· Attention to detail – able to follow precise details

· Good communication skills – both verbal and written

· Flexible and able to work around workload demands

· Minimum of an HND in a Bioscience based subject

· Capable of working on their own

Hours of work will be 39 hours per week, 7am to 315pm (hours of work are negotiable).
