Laboratory Technician

Anatek Labs, Inc. is seeking a laboratory technician for our Wenatchee branch. This is a small laboratory operation that will require the candidate to assist with sample login and customer service. Work experience in a laboratory environment preferred. Customer service experience preferred. This position is Monday-Friday 8-5. Salary DOE

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow established laboratory procedures, safety policies and best laboratory practices
• Conduct routine testing on drinking water, waste water, and other raw materials using various chemical and physical test methods
• Prepare standards, reagents, and solutions used in laboratory procedures
• Interpret and enter test results into Laboratory Information Management database
• Ensure that established sample turnaround times are met
• Follow quality control procedures as outlined in Quality Assurance Manual
• Assist Sample Control Technician with sample receipt and login
• Perform customer service duties as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Work experience in laboratory, data entry or customer service environment preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and good organization skills
• Ability to contribute to a safe work culture
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be meticulous and able to work independently and safely
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit or stand for long periods of time
• Experience with basic microbiological water test methods preferred
• Excellent time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
