Laboratory Technician

• Job Title: Laboratory Technician
• Contract: 12 Months
• Shift: Mon-Fri 8 AM to 4:30 PM
• Location: Johnston, IA 50131
• Pay rate: $22/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings.
• Perform plant sampling, DNA extraction, and high-throughput PCR.
• Manage laboratory inventory and sample management.
• The position is 100% site-based, with occasional driving required.

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Biology, Agricultural Science, or related fields is required
• PCR / DNA Extraction and experience in microbiology, plants, or animals.
• 1 year+ prior relevant experience working in a research laboratory environment is required.
• Familiarity with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
