Laborer / Cleaner

Baxter is seeking a dependable, hardworking Laborer / Cleaner to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in an active construction environment and takes pride in keeping job sites clean, safe, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor and assist skilled trades as needed.
• Clean and maintain construction sites throughout the workday.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove dust, dirt, and construction debris.
• Pick up and properly dispose of garbage and construction materials.
• Load, unload, move, and organize tools, equipment, and building materials.
• Perform demolition and site cleanup as directed.
• Clean completed work areas, including floors, windows, walls, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, storage areas, and walkways.
• Assist with preparing job sites before and after construction work.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA/job-site safety requirements.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify and report unsafe conditions or hazards to a supervisor.
• Perform other construction, maintenance, and cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous construction, labor, maintenance, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, push, and pull for extended periods.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to job sites is required.
