Laborer

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Treat and inspect wood utility poles at ground level

• Manually dig around the base of the pole & refilling the hole

• Applying products to pole for treatment

• Drilling holes in the pole & tagging pole complete

• Walking long distances from pole-to-pole while carrying equipment

• Perform all other duties as assigned by foreman or management

• Ability to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; could include late evenings and/or weekends

• Preform daily safety tailgate meeting and report any safety issues/concerns to management immediately

• Conduct proper behavior both on the job site and after hours when traveling with the company

• Leave job sites, trucks, and hotel rooms in good, clean, working order

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and lifting to 50lbs.
• Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humid, and rainy through all seasons year round
• Be comfortable with all types of work environments & terrain like woods, back yards, hills, alleys, roadside, poison ivy, insects, animals, etc.
• Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, high visible vest when working on-site and carry all other job safety equipment at all times.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ years in a general laborer type position
• 18+ years old
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Drug testing is required on all new hires, post accidents, probable cause or random
