Laborer

The City of Weston is seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer, Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)preferred to join our Street Department team. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the safety and quality of our city’s infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy vehicles and equipment, including a backhoe and other machinery related to street maintenance.

• Assist in maintaining and repairing streets, roads, and public infrastructure.

• Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, digging, and moving materials.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of projects.

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Participate in snow removal and other emergency response activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Drivers license is required.

• Previous experience in a similar role or general labor is preferred.

• Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Knowledge of street maintenance practices and safety protocols is a plus.

Compensation:

• The compensation for this position is competitive, beginning at $15+ per hour, and will be based on the candidate's experience.
