Labourer

We run two businesses out of the one yard - Perth Pool Fencing and Perth Pool Landscaping - and we're looking for two casual labourers to work across both. Fencing one week, paving the next.

THE WORK

Helping the installers and pavers get the job done. Carting and stacking materials, prepping and screeding bases, digging, mixing, holding levels and string lines, cutting, and cleaning up properly at the end of the day. It's physical and it's outdoors.

YOU

Fit, and happy doing physical work in the Perth heat

White Card - or willing to get one before you start (one day, and we'll point you at a course)

WA driver's licence and a way to get to site

On time. When you take a shift, you turn up to it - that is genuinely most of the job

Wants to learn a trade, not just collect a wage

No fencing or paving experience needed. If you'll turn up and listen, we'll teach you the rest.

THE ARRANGEMENT - please read this bit

These are casual roles. That means we offer you shifts and you're free to take them or knock them back, and there's no guaranteed number of hours from one week to the next. In return you're paid a 25% casual loading on top of the base rate, which is what the $34-$38/hr already includes. We're straight with people about this: if you need guaranteed hours, casual isn't the right fit and we'd rather say so now.

There is plenty of work about - we're booked out to the end of October - but we're not going to promise you a set roster we can't guarantee.

WHAT WE OFFER

$34-$38/hr casual (loading included) + super, depending on what you've done before

Regular shifts while the work is there, and it's there

Real training across two trades - the people who stick around learn a lot

Small team. You'll know everyone's name in a week

Perth metro, home every night
