Location: West Bromwich

Hours: Full-Time – Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays as required)

Salary: Competitive – discussed at interview

Soho Concrete is a local, reliable concrete & screed business based in West Bromwich , serving the whole West Midlands. We deliver quality work on new builds, extensions, repairs and commercial flooring. We’re looking for a hardworking, reliable Labourer to join our team — someone who gets stuck in, takes pride in the work, and supports our crew every day.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

General Site Labour

Prepare sites before pours: clearing debris, moving materials, setting up barriers & cones

Moving sand, cement, aggregates, tools and equipment around site

Cleaning, sweeping and preparing sub‑bases ready for concrete/screed

Carrying, lifting and positioning boards, rails, edge insulation and formwork

Keeping work areas tidy, safe and free from hazards at all times

Loading and unloading materials from the vehicle on arrival & departure

Concrete & Screed Assistance

Help receive, spread and level concrete / sand & cement screed

Wheelbarrow concrete/screed from truck to pour area when direct access isn’t possible

Assist with raking, spreading, levelling and compacting material

Help the installation/finishing team: handing tools, moving equipment, keeping the flow going

Clean down tools, shovels, rakes, straight edges and mixers after every job

Assist with covering fresh work and protecting it from weather as instructed

Team & Site Support

Work closely with the lead hand/foreman — follow instructions clearly and quickly

Help pump operator and crew where needed

Report any hazards, access issues or material concerns to the supervisor immediately

Follow all safety rules — wear PPE, keep clear of moving machinery, watch for overhead cables

Represent Soho Concrete professionally — polite to customers, tidy on site

Essential Requirements

Must be happy with manual, physical work — this is a hands‑on role

Must follow safety rules at all times — no exceptions

PPE provided: hard hat, hi‑vis, safety boots, gloves — you must wear them

No experience? Honest willingness to learn matters most — we’ll train the right person
