Labourer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Labourer to join our team manufacturing and installing roller doors. In this role, you will support our door engineers and steel erectors both in the workshop and on site, helping to ensure doors are manufactured, prepared, and installed safely and to a high standard. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help keep jobs moving and sites running smoothly. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop practical skills in door manufacturing, steel erection, and installation work.

Duties

• Assist door engineers and steel erectors with the preparation, manufacture, and installation of roller doors
• Move, lift, and position materials, components, and finished doors around the workshop and on site, including banding doors onto pallets for dispatch
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery to support manufacturing and installation tasks
• Prepare sites and work areas ahead of installation, including clearing and setting up for steel erection work
• Assist with loading and unloading vans and checking doors against job numbers before dispatch and installation
• Carry out general workshop duties such as tidying work areas and maintaining tools and equipment
• Follow safety protocols at all times, both in the workshop and on customer sites
• Work closely with the team to keep jobs on track and meet deadlines

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary — full training will be given
• Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to show up ready to work every day
• A genuine willingness to learn and take instruction from the team
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Good attitude and willing to muck in as part of a small team

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
