Labourer

Vanguard Logistics Ltd is looking to recruit reliable and hardworking general labourers to join our contractor network in London, supporting upcoming commercial maintenance, property repairs and facilities management works.

We are building a dependable team of labourers to assist with commercial projects as client requirements arise. Successful applicants will complete our onboarding process and enter into the relevant contract arrangements with Vanguard Logistics.

This is an opportunity for individuals looking to establish an ongoing working relationship with a company delivering commercial maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist tradespeople with commercial maintenance, repair and refurbishment works.

* Prepare work areas and move materials, tools and equipment as required.

* Load, unload and transport materials safely around site.

* Help with clearing damaged materials, waste and debris in accordance with site procedures.

* Keep work areas clean, organised and free from avoidable hazards.

* Assist with basic site preparation and other general labouring duties within your competence.

* Follow instructions from site supervisors and relevant tradespeople.

* Follow site health and safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).

* Report hazards, damage or issues to the appropriate supervisor.

* Maintain professional standards and follow client site requirements

.Requirements

* Previous labouring experience is desirable.

* Good awareness of health and safety practices.

* Physically capable of carrying out the duties required for the assignment, with reasonable adjustments where applicable.

* Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.

* Appropriate workwear and PPE as required by the assignment.

* Relevant site cards or qualifications where required for specific sites or duties.

* Willingness to complete Vanguard Logistics’ onboarding and contract process.
