About the role

NZ Labour Hire Group is seeking experienced Labourers with Confined Space Entry Certification to join our team on a full-time basis in New Plymouth, Central Taranaki. This is a crucial position for our operations, where you will be responsible for undertaking labour-intensive work in challenging environments, including confined spaces. Your expertise and safety credentials will be essential to maintaining our high standards of work quality and workplace safety across our diverse project portfolio.

What you'll be doing

• Performing general labour duties including site preparation, material handling, and equipment operation
• Conducting work safely within confined spaces using appropriate safety protocols and equipment
• Adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations and company safety procedures
• Assisting with site maintenance and keeping work areas clean and organised
• Operating hand tools and basic machinery as required
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution
• Supporting other team members and contributing to a collaborative work environment
• Reporting any hazards, incidents, or near-misses immediately to management

What we're looking for

• Valid Confined Space Entry Certification or equivalent qualification recognised in New Zealand
• Proven experience working as a labourer in construction, maintenance, or industrial environments
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices relevant to confined space work
• Physical fitness and ability to perform labour-intensive tasks
• Reliability and commitment to consistent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's licence (preferred)
• Current first aid certification (advantageous)
