Land Development Manager

🏘️ Senior Land Development Manager | Residential Development

Dallas-Fort Worth, TX | Candidates must currently be based in DFW

Blayze Group is partnering with an established Dallas-based residential developer looking to appoint an experienced Senior Land Development Manager .

The business develops single-family and master-planned communities across North Texas, bringing together land planning, engineering, infrastructure and community development.

This role will suit a PE-qualified land development professional with at least 7 years of development experience directly with a homebuilder , who can take ownership of the planning, coordination and approvals required to move residential projects forward.

The Role

• Manage land development activities across single-family residential communities
• Assess site feasibility, due diligence findings and development constraints
• Coordinate land plans, civil engineering designs, platting and entitlement applications
• Manage external engineers, planners, surveyors and other development consultants
• Work with municipalities and utility providers to progress approvals and resolve technical issues
• Review development budgets, infrastructure requirements and project phasing
• Identify opportunities to improve lot yield, control costs and maintain development schedules

What They’re Looking For

• Currently based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
• An active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• At least 7 years of land development experience directly with a homebuilder
• A track record across single-family subdivisions or master-planned communities
• Experience managing feasibility, entitlements, platting and engineering approvals
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utilities and residential infrastructure
• Commercial judgment around development costs, phasing and land use
• Experience managing consultants and working directly with municipalities
• DFW development experience and knowledge of local approval processes preferred
