Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Land Surveyor to support the Surveyor and project team in carrying out accurate surveying and setting-out activities for bridge, underpass, culvert and road construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Land Surveyor in all site surveying and setting-out activities.
• Assist with setting out bridge foundations, pile locations, piers, abutments, deck levels and other structural elements.
• Take levels, coordinates, alignments and measurements as instructed by the Surveyor.
• Operate and assist with Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS and other surveying equipment.
• Assist in checking benchmarks, control points and survey coordinates.
• Support as-built surveys and preparation of survey records.
• Read and understand construction drawings, IFC drawings and survey data.
• Maintain survey equipment and ensure it is properly calibrated and stored.
• Coordinate with engineers, foremen and site teams regarding survey requirements.
• Maintain accurate survey records, reports and documentation.
• Follow project HSE requirements and company procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in construction surveying.
• Experience in bridges, underpasses, culverts and road projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Total Station and Auto Level.
• Knowledge of GPS/GNSS surveying will be an advantage.
• Ability to read engineering and construction drawings.
• Good knowledge of levels, coordinates, alignment and setting-out procedures.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is preferred.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
