Land Surveyor

Job Summary:
Responsible for carrying out accurate land and construction surveys, setting out building coordinates, levels, grids, and structural elements, and ensuring all survey work is executed as per approved drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct land, topographical, and construction surveys at the project site.
• Establish and maintain benchmarks, reference points, grids, and coordinates.
• Carry out setting-out for columns, walls, cores, foundations, lifts, slabs, and other structural elements.
• Check verticality, alignment, levels, and dimensions of high-rise structures.
• Conduct surveys for excavation, raft/pile foundations, podium, and tower construction.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Structural Consultants, and contractors for setting-out requirements.
• Verify construction against approved architectural and structural drawings.
• Maintain survey records, measurements, reports, and as-built drawings.
• Carry out periodic checks using Total Station, Auto Level, DGPS/GPS, and other surveying instruments.
• Identify and report discrepancies in levels, alignment, coordinates, or dimensions.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and safe handling of surveying equipment.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of Total Station, Auto Level, DGPS/GPS, and surveying instruments.
• Good understanding of high-rise building setting-out and vertical alignment.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and survey drawings.
• Knowledge of coordinates, levels, benchmarks, grids, and elevation calculations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of survey/CAD software is an advantage.
• Good mathematical and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work at height and in active construction-site conditions.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to independently handle survey activities and maintain proper documentation.
• Experience using Trimble C5

Experience: 5 - 10 years in construction surveying, preferably with high-rise residential projects.

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or equivalent.
