Land Surveyor Manager

Position: Manager, Land Surveyor
Location: Dengkil, Selangor
Industry: Construction (Listed Company)
Salary: RM11,000 - RM15,000
Working Arrangement: Mon -Fri | 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee land surveying activities for construction, engineering and land development projects.
• Manage and supervise field and office surveying teams, including work allocation, technical guidance and performance monitoring.
• Develop survey plans, methodologies and work programmes to ensure accurate and timely completion of surveying activities.
• Implement quality assurance and control procedures to maintain the accuracy and consistency of survey data.
• Determine and apply appropriate surveying techniques and technologies, including GPS/GNSS, Total Stations, laser scanning and UAV/drone surveying where applicable.
• Review and verify survey measurements, calculations, mapping information, boundary markers and related technical documentation.
• Coordinate closely with engineers, contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders to integrate surveying information into project activities.
• Ensure surveying works comply with applicable land laws, boundary regulations, statutory requirements and project specifications.
• Manage surveying manpower, equipment, budgets and resources effectively to meet project requirements and timelines.
• Ensure surveying equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Prepare survey reports, maps, drawings, technical documentation and presentations for clients and project stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain appropriate workplace safety procedures for field surveying activities.
• Support the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS), including ISO 9001 and ISO 37001 requirements.
• Perform other surveying and project-related responsibilities as required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Surveying Science or a related discipline.
• Registration or professional certification as a Licensed/Registered Land Surveyor with a recognised professional body will be an advantage.
• At least 8 years of relevant land surveying experience, with proven experience leading or supervising surveying teams.
• Strong knowledge of surveying equipment and technologies such as GPS/GNSS, Total Stations and laser scanning. Experience with UAV/drone surveying will be an advantage.
• Proficient in relevant surveying and mapping software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS platforms.
• Good knowledge of applicable land laws, boundary regulations and statutory requirements relating to construction and land development.
• Experience managing project schedules, manpower, equipment, budgets and other surveying resources.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving and team-management abilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, contractors, consultants, clients and relevant authorities.
• Experience preparing survey reports, technical documentation, drawings and presentations.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of workplace and fieldwork safety requirements.
• Able to travel to project and site locations as required for the role.
