L&D Content & Competency

Role Overview

We are looking for an L&D Content & Competency professional with strong experience in learning content development, instructional design, technology competency mapping, and assessment creation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with technical SMEs and understanding technology skill areas such as Data Engineering, Cloud, Databricks, and AI/ML.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop structured learning paths, modules, and competency-based programs.
• Create training content, assessments, quizzes, and question banks.
• Develop learning journeys based on employee skill and competency requirements.
• Work closely with technical SMEs and trainers to source, validate, and improve learning content.
• Map learning content against technology competencies and career paths.
• Understand technical domains such as Data Engineering, Cloud, Databricks, AI/ML, and related technologies.
• Support technical upskilling and reskilling programs.
• Develop assessments to evaluate technical knowledge and learning outcomes.
• Research and align learning programs with relevant certification tracks.
• Work with certification ecosystems such as Microsoft, Databricks, and AWS.
• Review existing learning material and identify gaps.
• Maintain and continuously improve the L&D content repository.
• Ensure learning content is relevant, structured, accurate, and aligned with business requirements.

Required Skills

• 4 to 6 years of experience in L&D Content Development, Instructional Design, Technical Learning, or Competency Development.
• Strong experience in designing learning paths, modules, assessments, and training material.
• Experience working with technical SMEs/trainers.
• Good understanding of Data Engineering, Cloud, Databricks, AI/ML terminology and use cases.
• Experience in assessment and question-bank development.
• Familiarity with Microsoft, Databricks, and AWS certification tracks.
• Strong research, content structuring, and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• BE/B.Tech or technical/engineering background is preferred.
• Experience in an IT services or technology organization will be an advantage.
