L&D Training Manager

Role Description Vektoro is seeking an experienced Training Manager to support the introduction of new Defence equipment and capability. The role involves managing and coordinating training requirements, working closely with Defence stakeholders, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and technical specialists to ensure training solutions meet operational and capability needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing training activities associated with the introduction of new Defence equipment and systems.
• Applying the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) to training analysis, design, development and evaluation.
• Working with OEMs and technical specialists to translate technical information into training requirements and learning materials.
• Developing and reviewing competency-based training and assessment products.
• Supporting training governance, planning, reporting and documentation.
• Coordinating stakeholders and managing training risks, dependencies and delivery requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Experience in a Training Manager, Learning and Development or Defence training role.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of SADL.
• Experience in instructional design, training development and competency-based assessment.
• Ability to interpret technical information and develop effective training solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience supporting Defence equipment introduction or capability development activities (highly desirable).
• Relevant qualifications in training and assessment, instructional design, learning and development or a related discipline (desirable).
• A current NV2 security clearance is essential.
