LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

We are looking for a creative and experienced Landscape Architect to develop, coordinate, and oversee landscape design projects from concept through construction. The candidate will be responsible for preparing landscape designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation while coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop landscape concepts, master plans, planting plans, hardscape layouts, and detailed landscape designs.
• Prepare landscape drawings, details, specifications, schedules, and presentation materials.
• Develop designs for softscape, hardscape, irrigation, outdoor lighting, water features, and external works.
• Review project requirements, site conditions, client requirements, and design standards.
• Coordinate landscape designs with architectural, civil, structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Prepare and review construction and shop drawings related to landscape works.
• Select appropriate plants, trees, shrubs, groundcovers, paving materials, street furniture, and other landscape elements.
• Prepare planting schedules and coordinate plant specifications according to project and environmental requirements.
• Review material samples and technical submittals and provide recommendations.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure landscape works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients to resolve design and technical issues.
• Identify design conflicts and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Monitor landscape works and provide technical support during construction.
• Assist in preparing BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable local regulations, project specifications, and relevant standards.
• Participate in design coordination and project meetings.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, approvals, and technical correspondence.
• Support project teams in ensuring timely completion and quality of landscape works.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in landscape design and project coordination.
• Experience in Qatar is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of landscape architecture principles, planting, hardscape, and outdoor design.
• Experience in preparing detailed landscape drawings and construction documentation.
• Good understanding of irrigation systems and coordination with MEP/civil works.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, 3D Max, Photoshop, or other design software is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong design, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
