Landscape Commercial Labourer

HL Landscapes is recruiting a Landscape Commercial Labourer to join our crew delivering commercial landscaping projects across Brisbane's north and west. Working as part of a site crew under the Leading Hand, you'll deliver commercial and civil structural and soft landscaping works. You'll carry out hands-on construction and site support safely and to specification, helping the crew achieve the setout, level and finish HL Landscapes is known for.

What you will do

• Site Delivery: Carry out daily tasks as allocated by the Leading Hand, assisting with work front setup, material handling and site preparation
• Landscape Construction: Assist with retaining walls, fencing, pergolas, decking, raised garden beds, concreting, paving, turf, drainage and irrigation works
• Softworks: Carry out soil preparation, mulching, planting and tree and garden establishment
• Quality: Work to drawings, setout and levels as directed, check your own work as you go and raise any issues with the Leading Hand straight away
• Safety Compliance: Follow SWMS, permits and exclusion zones, attend toolbox talks, and operate tools and plant only when trained and authorised
• Teamwork and Development: Be a reliable crew member and build skills across the commercial landscaping trades through on-the-job training
• Site Control: Keep the work front clean and organised, with tools and materials properly stored, and report anything that slows or stops the work (access issues, missing materials, damaged work)

About you

• White Card, a valid Australian driver's licence and full rights to work in Australia
• Reliable, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
• Comfortable working outdoors and carrying out physical tasks as part of a team
• Committed to safe work practices and following SWMS
• Experience in landscape construction, civil works or similar physical work (desirable)
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools and equipment, and tickets such as skid steer or excavator (desirable)
