Position Overview

• As a Landscape Construction Crew Leader, you will be fully responsible for the success of your projects—including installation, safety, crew member training and development, and overall quality of service. You’ll lead a crew in both residential and commercial landscape installations, ensuring every project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a crew in installing landscapes, including planting and hardscaping.
• Operate and maintain landscape equipment (skid loaders, trucks, trailers, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors.
• Train and mentor crew members using the Watch-Do-Teach methodology.
• Ensure projects meet Root’s Nurseries’ quality and safety standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Excellent work track record and reliability.
• Strong knowledge of landscape construction practices, plant material, and horticultural techniques.
• Well organized and detail-oriented.
• 3+ years of landscape installation experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to read and execute landscape plans accurately.
• Excellent communication and proven leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
• A degree in Landscape Contracting or Horticulture is a plus.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
