Landscape Construction General Laborer

Lake Shore Services, Inc. is hiring a Landscape Construction General Laborer

Work for a family-owned landscape construction company that has been serving Minnesota's lakes area for over 40 years. We serve Otter Tail and Becker Counties and specialize in protecting lake properties and transforming outdoor spaces.

The General Laborer works as part of a landscape construction crew, assisting with a variety of projects while learning skills and gaining experience in the landscape construction trade.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with landscape construction projects as directed by the Landscape Supervisor
• Load, unload, move, and organize project materials, tools, and equipment
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment as trained
• Maintain quality workmanship and attention to detail
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
• Follow directions and work effectively as part of a team

Projects may include:

• Shoreline stabilization and rip rap
• Retaining walls and paver patios, walkways, and driveways
• Rock and mulch beds and edging
• Boulder and wood steps and walkways
• Synthetic turf and plantings
• Tree, stump, and shrub removal
• Foundation water barriers and drain tile

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Dependability and a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• Flexibility with projects, locations, schedules, and job-site conditions
• Previous landscaping, construction, or similar experience preferred, but not required
• Equipment operation experience preferred
• Carpentry experience preferred
• Mechanical knowledge/aptitude preferred

Pay: $18–$23/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

This is a seasonal position, typically Monday–Friday, with variable hours and overtime as workload requires. Work is performed outdoors in varying conditions, including summer heat and shoreline environments.
