Landscape Engineer (Construction)

Desert Group is Hiring – Landscape Engineer

This Person is responsible for planning, supervising and managing landscape construction and maintenance operations across assigned projects. The candidate will oversee landscape works, irrigation systems, manpower, materials, equipment, quality, safety and client requirements at site.

The person will be responsible for ensuring that landscape and irrigation works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and contractual requirements, while coordinating with clients and site teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Supervise landscape construction and maintenance activities across multiple sites.
• Manage softscape, hardscape and irrigation works and ensure proper execution.
• Monitor daily site activities, work progress, productivity and quality.
• Plan and allocate manpower and provide daily, weekly and monthly targets.
• Conduct regular site visits and ensure work is completed as per contract requirements.
• Coordinate with clients regarding complaints, rectification works and technical requirements.
• Review and interpret landscape drawings, irrigation drawings and project specifications.
• Ensure irrigation systems are installed according to approved designs and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance regarding plant selection, soil, plant nutrition, irrigation and landscape techniques.
• Monitor plant health and ensure proper pest and disease control in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Assist with BOQ preparation, material procurement and quantity requirements.
• Ensure machinery, equipment and materials are available and maintained properly.
• Manage site manpower, attendance, timesheets and employee-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, including accident and near-miss reporting.
• Coordinate with operational teams and provide hands-on technical support when required.
• Maintain good relationships with clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualification & Experience

• Degree in Agricultural Engineering / Agriculture / Landscape-related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Landscape Construction mainly more than maintenance.
• Strong hands-on experience in landscape construction projects.
• Experience with irrigation systems and installation.
• Good knowledge of softscape, hardscape, planting, soil and plant maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape and irrigation drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing site manpower and coordinating landscape teams.
• Good knowledge of BOQs, materials and site requirements.
• Good communication, leadership and client-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• UAE Driving License is mandatory.
