Landscape Gardener/Labourer (Full-time)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Landscape Gardener/Labourer to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are beautiful, functional, and well-kept. Your hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude will contribute to the successful execution of landscaping projects, from routine maintenance to complex construction tasks. Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, weeding, and mulching to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
• Operate a variety of hand tools such as spades, rakes, pruners, and shovels efficiently and safely
• Utilize power tools and machinery including trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers to complete landscaping tasks
• Assist with construction activities like setting up garden features, installing irrigation systems, and preparing sites for planting or hardscaping
• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping projects or site preparation
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and optimal performance
• Support team members with general labour duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude in all tasks

Experience

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is highly desirable
• Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools and small machinery is a plus
• Construction experience or familiarity with site preparation enhances your suitability for this role
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and gardening techniques is beneficial
• Hands-on experience with irrigation systems installation or repair is advantageous
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when required
