Job Overview

In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining beautiful, functional outdoor spaces by assisting with various landscaping and groundskeeping tasks. Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep outdoor areas neat and healthy
• Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment including power tools, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Support planting activities by identifying plants, installing new greenery, and maintaining existing flora through watering, fertilizing, and pest management
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and performing necessary repairs or adjustments
• Help with hardscape projects such as installing pathways, retaining walls, or other outdoor structures
• Perform snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access and clear pathways
• Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools
• Experience with landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and gardening practices
• Ability to identify various plants and understand basic horticulture principles
• Knowledge of pesticide management and pest control techniques
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and their operation for efficient water use
• Hands-on experience with lawn care, tree care, and general grounds maintenance
• Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely while adhering to safety protocols
• Outdoor work experience in diverse weather conditions is preferred
• Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality workmanship
