Responsibilities

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming to ensure healthy and attractive grounds.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently.
• Support planting activities by preparing soil, planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and installing new landscape features.
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks, adjusting settings, and ensuring proper watering schedules.
• Help with groundskeeping duties like weed control, pest management, fertilization, and soil preparation to promote plant health.
• Perform hardscape installation and repair tasks including the setup of pathways, patios, or retaining walls as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members during outdoor work activities.

Experience

• Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
• Basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating equipment and troubleshooting minor issues.
• Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management helps enhance your effectiveness on the job.
• Experience with irrigation systems, lawn care routines such as mowing or aeration, and tree care practices is a plus. HBO
• Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety standards is essential.
• Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment including trimmers, blowers, mowers, and other landscaping tools confidently.
• A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to landscape maintenance and hardscape installation will set you up for success.
