What they need

About Us

Allscapes Landscape is a growing team in Guelph dedicated to delivering exceptional property maintenance, design, and construction services to our residential and commercial clients. We take pride in top-quality craftsmanship, sharp attention to detail, and a strong, supportive team culture.

We are currently hiring motivated and dependable Lawn & Bed Maintenance Crew Members to join our team for the main season, with direct opportunities to extend year-round into our Winter Maintenance Operations (as a Sidewalk Crew Member or Snowplow Operator)!

Position Overview

If you enjoy working outdoors, taking pride in physical work, and seeing immediate, satisfying results at the end of the day, this is a great fit. During the spring, summer, and fall, you will work alongside experienced team members to keep our clients' properties looking pristine. As the seasonal work transitions, team members in good standing have the opportunity to continue through the winter months on our snow and ice management team.

Key Responsibilities

Spring / Summer / Fall (Lawn & Bed Maintenance):

  • Lawn Care Operations: Perform clean, precise commercial and residential lawn mowing, string trimming, lawn edging, blowing down hard surfaces, and debris cleanup.
  • Garden & Bed Maintenance: Detailed weeding, soil turning, perennial deadheading/pruning, shrub trimming, spring/fall leaf cleanups, and fresh mulch application.
  • Planting & Enhancements: Assist with installing flowers, shrubs, soil amendments, seed, sod, and root-ball plantings.
  • Equipment Care: Safely operate and perform routine daily checks on commercial mowers, weed trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and hand tools.

Winter Operations (Extended Seasonal Work):

  • Sidewalk Crew Member: Safely operate snowblowers and shovels to clear snow and apply de-icing materials to commercial/residential walkways and entryways.
  • Snowplow Operator: Dependably operate company plow/salt trucks or equipment for commercial/residential driveway and parking lot snow clearing during winter weather events (requires valid G license and clean driving record).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License: Valid G or G2 license required with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to our shop daily. (A full G license is required for Snowplow Operator positions; comfort driving light trucks or towing trailers is a strong asset).
  • Work Ethic & Reliability: Highly reliable, punctual, and accountable—our team relies on every member to show up ready to work on time, especially during winter snow events.
  • Motivation & Attitude: Strong self-motivation, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and work as part of a tight-knit team.
  • Physical Stamina: Physically capable of performing daily manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and working in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cool fall days, and cold winter snow conditions).
  • Experience: Prior experience in landscape maintenance, property maintenance, or winter snow clearing is preferred, but we are happy to train motivated candidates with the right work ethic!

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay: $20.00+/hr starting wage (grows with experience, licensing, and role).
  • Year-Round Stability: Opportunity for continuous, year-round employment through our winter sidewalk and plowing operations.
  • Skill Development: Hands-on training on professional landscaping equipment, plant care techniques, and commercial snow management machinery.
  • Career Growth: Opportunities to advance into lead hand, crew leader, or specialized operator roles.
  • Team Culture: A positive, respectful, and energetic work environment where your effort is noticed and valued.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week

Benefits:

  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
