Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Landscape Project Manager, working out of Pelham, AL. The Landscape Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activity, including job-site safety, materials and equipment, project progress, crew direction, customer relations, and quality assurance. Additional responsibilities include maintaining equipment and performing a variety of landscape and hardscape tasks, such as laying sod, installing stone pathways and walls, installing plants, hauling and disposal of debris, and other physical tasks.

Qualifications

• Management experience (at least 1-2 years)
• Experience preforming a wide array of landscape and hardscape tasks
• Ability to operate and maintain landscape equipment, including hand tools, power tools, saws, skid steers, excavators, trenchers, augers, and compactors
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift moderate to heavy loads
• Thorough understanding of workplace and job-site safety practices
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Previous landscaping, hardscaping, and horticultural experience (3+ years)
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Management: strong leadership qualities, organization, time-management, communication, problem-solving, hardworking, responsibility, teamwork, respect
• Materials: tracking, pickup, quality assurance, and proper application
• Equipment Operation: truck and dump trailer, skid steers, excavators, trenchers, augers, compactors, saws, power tools, and miscellaneous hand tools
• Skills: masonry, laying sod, installing plants, plant bed design and preparation, drainage irrigation, grading, spreading mulch, pine straw, gravel, sand, and soil, woodworking, hauling debris
• Respectful handling of equipment such as heavy machinery, power tools, ladders, wheelbarrows, shovels, and other hand tools
• Careful handling of materials such as stone, plants, sod, wood, piping, and mulch, pine straw, gravel, soil, sand, mortar
• Precise application of materials reflective of our commitment to top quality work
• Equipment maintenance
• Keeping customers happy with honest, clear and respectful communication
