Landscape Technician

Overview
The primary responsibility of this position is routine landscaping and maintenance to keep properties under Calvo Realty & Management, clean and in proper operating condition. Functions include but are not limited to grounds keeping, janitorial activities on the exterior and interiors of the properties, responding to repairs for damages and non-working fixtures, and applying basis fixes.

Duties

• Inspect the properties, grounds, and equipment and ensure they are tidy and functional
• Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and pressure washing the properties, using hand tools and power tools to ensure pristine appearance.
• Conduct landscape enhancements such as planting new greenery, mulching, fertilizing, and weed control to improve aesthetic appeal.
• Perform cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming building grounds or floors; servicing, disinfecting, or supplying restrooms including toilets and sinks; removing debris from windows, glass partitions, or mirrors; dusting furnitures and walls, machines, or equipment; gathering and disposing of trash
• Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, smoke detectors and doorknobs around the properties and other items as needed
• Respond to repairs and maintenance requests by management by inspecting and troubleshooting issues
• Perform basic fixes to buildings, equipment, or systems
• Maintain equipment and tools regularly to ensure safety and optimal performance.
• Notify management of any damages, non-working fixtures, and the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
• Take inventory of equipment, supplies, or cleaning material and notify management when replenishment is needed
• Perform other duties assigned or required
• Requirements
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, gardening, and horticulture principles.
• Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners as well as power tools like trimmers and blowers safely.
• Strong understanding of landscaping techniques and plant care best practices.
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment or materials as needed.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
