Duties

• Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to ensure lush, healthy grass.
• Maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, trees, and lawns through pruning, trimming, planting, and watering.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks like planting, edging, and debris removal.
• Use machinery such as excavators and snow plows to complete larger projects or seasonal clean-up duties.
• Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering of landscapes.
• Construct or repair hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and fencing to enhance outdoor spaces.
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and health assessments to promote safety and growth.
• Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mulching, raking leaves, and snow removal during winter months.
• Collaborate with team members on landscaping projects to ensure timely completion while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain equipment through routine inspections and cleaning to ensure longevity and optimal performance.

Experience

• Proven experience in landscaping or horticulture with knowledge of lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and hoes; proficiency with power tools including trimmers and blowers.
• Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery like excavators or snow plows is a plus.
• Understanding of irrigation systems installation and repair procedures.
• Experience in construction or hardscape installation is desirable.
• Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming and health assessment.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor tasks.
