Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
• Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently.
• Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures to ensure durability and visual appeal.
• Manage irrigation systems by installing, repairing, adjusting schedules, and troubleshooting to optimize water usage.
• Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care; apply pest control measures responsibly following safety protocols.
• Conduct seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or clearing debris to keep outdoor areas safe and accessible year-round.
• Follow all safety procedures diligently while handling equipment and chemicals; maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents.

Experience

• Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, soil management, and landscape design fundamentals.
• Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of landscaping tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with pesticide management practices and safety regulations for chemical application.
• Experience with irrigation systems installation, repair, or troubleshooting is a plus.
• Ability to operate power tools such as chainsaws, hedge trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers confidently.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments; ability to adhere strictly to safety standards at all times.
