Landscaping Squad Leader

Pay: £32,000 – £36,600 per year (employed)

We’re expanding our soft landscaping division and looking for an experienced, reliable Squad Leader to run one of our landscaping squads.

The work:

• Soft landscaping including planting, turfing, seeding, mulching, hedging and shrub beds
• Soil preparation, ground levelling and site finishing
• New build housing developments, commercial sites and private projects
• Projects across Stirlingshire and Central Scotland
• Leading a squad of 2–3, and working alongside our other teams on larger jobs

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading your squad day to day, planning and allocating work on site
• Making sure landscaping is completed to a consistently high standard and to specification
• Checking the quality of finished work before sign-off
• Keeping productivity high while getting the job done right
• Making sure your squad works safely and follows health and safety procedures at all times
• Completing daily paperwork
• Liaising with site managers, clients and the office
• Spotting problems on site early and sorting them out
• Being a reliable, professional presence with customers and colleagues

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

• Full UK driving licence
• Proven soft landscaping experience

Preferred:

• Experience leading or supervising a squad
• At least 1 year’s construction or groundworks experience
• Good plant knowledge
• CSCS card
