Our success is rooted in our Core Values: Safety, Leadership, Improvement, Commitment, and Excellence. Joining our team means working on landmark projects, learning from industry leaders, and advancing your career in a supportive, safety-focused culture.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking Lane Control Technicians with a background in traffic control to join our team in Chilliwack. You’ll support lane setups and assist with general labour, working with a diverse fleet and a supportive team with opportunities for growth. Candidates with and without First Aid Level 3 are welcome.

As an LCT, you’ll play a key role in keeping people safe and projects moving. Working outdoors with a skilled crew, you’ll set up and maintain traffic control, guide vehicles and pedestrians through work zones, and support site operations with precision and professionalism. If you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in safety, and want to make a visible impact in your community, this role is for you.

Although we are a union affiliated organization, being an active member is not a prerequisite.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, maintain, and inspect traffic control equipment in accordance with the Traffic management Plan.
  • Direct traffic, pedestrians, and workers around road construction sites.
  • Create and maintain all required daily documentation per WorkSafeBC (WSBC) requirements.
  • Perform other general labour duties as required.

Your Qualifications & Skills

  • Safety-conscious, effective communicator, with knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and requirements for traffic control.
  • Must hold a valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification
  • Must have a valid Class 5 BC driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an LCT.
  • Experience and ability to work on both highways and municipal roadways
  • Ability to operate a crash attenuator truck/TMA truck is preferred, training available for the right candidate.
  • Preference to local candidates within the Fraser Valley.

What We Offer

The chance to be part of landmark projects that shape communities across British Columbia, while building your career with a company that’s been trusted for over 85 years. As part of the Emil Anderson Group of companies, you’ll join a culture where people are more than employees – they’re contributors, owners, and leaders. Here, you’ll have opportunities to learn from industry experts, grow your skills, and make a lasting impact across a diverse range of projects.

  • Union hourly rate: $26.00–$30.00 per hour.
  • Union benefits package.
  • Training and career development opportunities.
  • Annual safety recognition and employee appreciation programs.

Safety & Compliance

Safety is our highest priority. All employees are expected to work in compliance with company safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations, wear appropriate PPE, and participate in toolbox talks and safety training, where applicable.
