LANE/RESTARAUNT SERVER

Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with menu selections based on their preferences and dietary needs
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely communication with kitchen staff
• Serve food and beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks with professionalism and attention to detail
• Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales revenue
• Process cash transactions and credit card payments accurately while handling cash safely and securely
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, bar stations, and service stations in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a server in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably with fine dining or nightclub experience
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; OpenTable experience is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle guest inquiries professionally
• Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Familiarity with beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation
• Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
• Hospitality background with strong communication skills; previous host/hostess or cashiering experience is advantageous
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a lively restaurant or nightclub environment

Pay: $22.64 - $27.27 per hour
