We’re looking for a talented Laravel Developer with strong AI expertise to join our engineering team and help us continue building, optimizing, and expanding the technology powering our services.

About the Role

As a Laravel Developer, you’ll work directly with our technology leadership and development team to build, maintain, and optimize our telemedicine platform. You’ll be responsible for developing scalable backend systems, integrating third-party services, implementing AI-powered solutions, and delivering features that directly improve operational efficiency and the patient experience.

The ideal candidate combines deep practical experience with Laravel, Laravel Nova, and Vue.js with advanced knowledge of artificial intelligence, including AI integrations, large language models (LLMs), APIs, intelligent automation, and AI-driven application development.

We’re looking for someone who can identify opportunities to apply AI to real-world business challenges, design reliable AI-powered workflows, and integrate emerging technologies into secure, production-ready applications. The candidate should take ownership of their work, write clean and maintainable code, and confidently solve complex technical challenges independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Design, develop, and integrate AI-powered features, tools, and workflows into existing applications.
• Integrate large language models (LLMs) and AI services through APIs to support intelligent automation, data processing, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate AI tools, frameworks, and technologies to identify opportunities for practical implementation across the business.
• Develop AI-driven automations that reduce manual work, streamline internal processes, and improve platform functionality.
• Understand prompt engineering, structured AI outputs, context management, and methods for improving the reliability of AI-generated results.
• Develop and maintain internal administration tools using Laravel Nova and Filament.
• Build and maintain frontend interfaces using Vue.js and Tailwind CSS.
• Design and optimize MySQL databases and queries.
• Integrate external healthcare platforms, payment processors, communication services, and AI-based services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues across application and AI-integrated systems.
• Write clean, efficient, secure, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Implement automated tests and follow software development best practices.
• Maintain security and privacy standards when working with sensitive healthcare information and AI systems.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams to deliver new features and technical improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional PHP development experience.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Laravel and its ecosystem.
• Practical experience with Laravel Nova, including building and customizing resources, fields, actions, and administrative interfaces.
• Proficiency in Vue.js, including developing and maintaining reusable components and interactive user interfaces.
• Strong practical knowledge of AI technologies, LLMs, and AI-powered application development.
• Experience integrating AI models or services into applications using APIs and building functional AI-driven features.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, structured outputs, model limitations, and strategies for improving AI response quality and consistency.
• Ability to identify business processes that can benefit from AI, automation, and intelligent workflows.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and MVC architecture.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with MySQL, including database design and query optimization.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and modern frontend development practices.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex applications independently.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Laravel Filament.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS.
• Experience building AI agents, multi-step AI workflows, or tool-calling integrations.
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and semantic search.
• Experience connecting AI services to internal databases, APIs, and business applications.
• Familiarity with AI evaluation, output validation, error handling, and safeguards against unreliable model responses.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency, debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Understanding of AI data privacy, security, and responsible handling of sensitive information.
• Familiarity with Laravel queues, jobs, events, and scheduled tasks.
• Experience with Redis and caching strategies.
• Familiarity with AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar cloud infrastructure.
• Experience integrating payment gateways such as Stripe.
• Experience with automated testing using PHPUnit or Pest.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing healthcare, telemedicine, or other regulated applications.
• Knowledge of HIPAA-related technical safeguards and secure handling of sensitive data.
