Large Accounts Underwriter

For our client, we are seeking a Large Accounts Underwriter to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will focus on underwriting and managing a profitable portfolio of large accounts while balancing risk assessment, pricing discipline, and growth objectives. You will partner closely with brokers, agents, and regional leadership to support agency strategy and strengthen market relationships. The position also requires staying attuned to market conditions and applying sound underwriting judgment to inform portfolio performance and decision-making.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $100,085 – $152,122 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a profitable large account portfolio
• Apply underwriting guidelines and maintain documentation
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents
• Partner with regional leadership on agency strategy
• Negotiate terms and pricing for large account underwriting
• Monitor market trends and inform underwriting strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, or relevant experience
• Five years of commercial underwriting or related experience
• Experience with large accounts preferred
• Insurance designations such as CPCU preferred
• Excellent knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis
