We are hiring a Large-Scale Electrical Estimator in Salt Lake City, UT, to manage all aspects of bidding complex electrical construction projects.

This position requires extensive electrical construction knowledge, strong estimating skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-value bids while maintaining productive relationships with vendors, customers, and internal project teams. Experience estimating healthcare projects and a hands-on electrical background are preferred.

What You’ll Do

✔ Prepare electrical bids, takeoffs, and detailed cost estimates

✔ Develop and oversee preconstruction budgets and preliminary schedules

✔ Download, organize, and review drawings, specifications, and bid documents

✔ Analyze contract documents to identify scope requirements, risks, and opportunities

✔ Solicit, review, and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes

✔ Conduct jobsite visits for remodel and renovation projects

✔ Prepare bid letters, proposal packages, clarifications, and supporting documentation

✔ Present takeoffs, quotes, bid strategies, and proposal documents to leadership for review

✔ Estimate commercial, mixed-use, multifamily, healthcare, and mission-critical projects

✔ Manage multiple high-value estimates and competing bid deadlines

✔ Maintain accurate and organized estimating documentation

✔ Support a positive, dependable, and team-focused working environment

What You’ll Bring

✔ 5+ years of experience involving electrical construction, design, estimating, or project financials

✔ At least 2 years of electrical project management experience or working knowledge

✔ Licensed Electrician or substantial electrical construction background

✔ Experience estimating large-scale commercial electrical projects

✔ Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents

✔ Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code

✔ Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously

✔ Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

✔ Proficiency with Accubid, ConstructJob, or comparable electrical estimating software

✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam

✔ Healthcare estimating experience preferred
