Laser Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the laser cutting machine during production.
• Set up and calibrate the machine before each job.
• Cut steel parts according to technical drawings, within required tolerances.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Check finished parts for correct size and quality.
• Identify and fix minor machine issues; report major faults to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience operating laser cutting machines.
• Experience cutting steel pipes and heavy-gauge plate (not sheet metal only).
• Able to read and understand technical drawings.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and basic troubleshooting ability.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience with laser cutting of heavy-gauge or high-strength materials.
• Familiarity with CNC or automated manufacturing systems.
