Position Summary: LaserSharp FlexPak Services, LLC specializes in cutting edge laser processing and equipment for the flexible packaging industry. The ideal candidate is an initiative-taking, energetic, dependable team player who is interested in operating laser systems that process flexible packaging materials according to customer specifications.

Description: The Laser Machine Operator will set up and operate laser-enabled machinery designed for processing food grade material used in flexible packaging.

Position Reports to: Production Control Manager

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand, set up, adjust, and operate laser machines according to precise work order specifications and quality standards.

Perform and document quality control checks per the work order.

Ability to complete work instructions in a timely manner and achieve production efficiency goals.

Maintains communication with Production Team Leader and/or Production Supervisor to ensure the production schedule is achieved.

Delivers complete work orders with required documentation to the Production Supervisor.

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision to complete all required responsibilities.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Consistently strives to improve personal and production team performance.

Assists in the packaging and shipping of completed jobs as needed.

Supports other areas of production and secondary operation functions as needed.

Adhere to the Company’s SQF Certification requirements, and quality and safety standards.

Support the need for periodic overtime to ensure on time delivery.

Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required; additional related education is a plus.

Strong problem solving, mathematical, and critical thinking skills.

Ability to effectively communicate with fellow co-workers and the management team.

Ability to represent FlexPak in a professional manner to customers, suppliers, and other visitors.

Ability to work in a fast paced, team-focused environment.

At least 1 years’ experience operating basic machinery.

Experience with ERP systems preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Physical Requirements:

Standing and walking on concrete floors in a manufacturing environment for extended periods of time

Capable of lifting 45-pound rolls

Use of forklift, pallet jack, pallet wrappers, and other material handling equipment
