Laser Machine Operator

Core Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Configure power, speed, focus parameters, and select programs or fixtures on CNC (Computer Numerical Control) laser cutting systems.
• Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, vector design files, and technical blueprints.
• Material Handling: Load raw sheets or parts (such as steel, aluminum, brass, or copper) safely and efficiently into the machine.
• Quality Control & Inspection: Monitor cutting quality and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventive maintenance, clean optics/lenses, fix minor malfunctions, and report defective raw materials.
• Safety Compliance: Follow workplace safety protocols, use required personal protective equipment (such as laser-safe protective goggles), and ensure proper fume extraction.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of laser physics, metalworking principles, and CAD/CAM or laser control software.
• Education & Qualification: Typically a 10th/12th pass, ITI, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, depending on the employer's complexity level.
• Experience: Ranging from freshers to 1–3+ years of hands-on industrial or shop-floor manufacturing experience.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended shifts and handle manual lifting of metal plates or components.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
