Hours:

39.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Mon - Thur: 7:30am - 16:45pm

Fri: 7:30am - 12:00pm (EARLY FINISH)

NO WEEKENDS

Permanent Position

Holiday Entitlement (Pro Rata):

Year 1: 23 days + 8 Statutory Days = 31

Year 2: 25 days + 8 Statutory Days = 33

Year 3: 27 days + 8 Statutory Days = 35

Platts & Nisbett is a well established (since 1977) family owned business. Our Surgical Instruments are manufactured for NHS / Private Hospitals, and companies in the UK and worldwide, including the global leaders.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Laser Marking Machine Operator (Final Inspector) to become part of our busy team. Would suit candidates looking for a long term career in a high-quality production environment.

This is a busy role, and it is essential that the candidate is highly organised, proactive and has the ability to multi task on a daily basis. The candidate must have a keen eye for detail in order to maintain our high quality standards.

Applicants must have previous experience with a proven track record in Quality Inspection and Laser Marking. Knowledge of Passivation Processes and Bead Blasting would be advantageous, but not essential. On the job training will be provided.

MAIN DUTIES

· Quality / Visual Inspection of surgical instruments

· Laser Marking to specifications provided

· Bead Blasting

· Passivation

· Release of finished product

· Packing / Despatch

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

· Quality Inspection Experience

· Laser Marking Experience

· Computer Literate

· Keen eye for detail

· Excellent Organisational Skills

· Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines

· Good Interpersonal Skills
