The laser operator plays a vital role in our manufacturing team. This position requires mechanical aptitude, ability to read blueprints, a strong work ethic and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate laser equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal cutting performance and quality output.
• Interpret technical drawings and production documents to accurately produce parts according to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on laser machinery, troubleshoot issues promptly, and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
• Collaborate with other employees in fabrication and welding processes to meet production deadlines.

Skills:

• 3 years’ experience operating laser cutting equipment
• Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint reading, shop math, and technical drawings interpretation.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards related to machine operation and materials handling.
• Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues efficiently using basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong skills in dimensional measurements and quality control procedures.

Physical/Cognitive Essential Functions:

• Reading, reasoning, and problem-solving.
• Manual dexterity.
• Standing for 8 to 10 hours daily.
• Lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Positive attitude

Schedule:

• 8-10 hour shift, Monday-Friday with overtime as needed.
• Monitoring and reacting to laser-down time off shift
