Laser Operator

Due to continued growth, Nu-Tech Metals Ltd. is seeking a reliable and experienced Laser Table Operator to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and follow work orders to determine cutting specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Load and unload materials onto and off the laser table.
• Perform cutting operations in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
• Conduct and document quality control checks to ensure work meets required standards.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on the laser table.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including weekly machine cleaning.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working efficiently.

Work Conditions:

• Physically demanding; regular lifting, standing, and manual handling of materials is required.
• Overtime may be necessary depending on production demands.
• Industrial shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.

Qualifications:

• Must be currently residing in Thunder Bay, ON.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience operating a laser or plasma cutting table.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and technical documents.
• Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
