Laser Operator

Position Summary

Performs set up and operation of laser equipment to cost effectively produce high quality steel, stainless steel or aluminum parts in a timely manner to meet customer specifications.

This position will start on first shift but will transition to second shift.

Job Requirements

• 2 years sheet metal fabricating/layout/print reading experience
• 2+ years experience preferred in a production/industrial fabrication environment
• Must be able to fabricate from shop drawings
• Must have experience fabricating light gauge sheet metal to heavy plate
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Must have attention to detail and desire to produce high quality work consistently
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Ability to communicate and independently execute work instructions
• Basic math and computer skills
• Positive attitude, dedication to attendance
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Highly motivated, able to work with little or no supervision
• Must be able to work off shifts and overtime as needed

The salary range is $22 to $28 an hour.
