Laser Programmer

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Laser Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The Laser Programmer will be responsible for developing and optimizing laser cutting programs to ensure precise and efficient production of metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of various CAD/CAM software tools, blueprint interpretation, and the ability to translate design specifications into accurate laser cutting instructions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with software such as Boost, SolidWorks, Tube Design, Diamond Bend, TruTops, and Metal Studio.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement laser cutting programs based on detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software including Boost, SolidWorks, Tube Design, Diamond Bend, TruTops, and Metal Studio to create accurate cutting paths.
• Interpret blueprints and technical specifications to ensure precise fabrication of metal parts.
• Optimize laser cutting parameters for efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot programming issues and improve processes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of programming procedures and modifications.
• Ensure all laser operations comply with safety protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Laser Programmer or in a similar role within manufacturing or metal fabrication industries.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software including Boost, SolidWorks, Tube Design, Diamond Bend, TruTops, and Metal Studio.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of laser cutting machinery operation and safety procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
