Laser Technician

Job Overview

The Laser Technician position demonstrates technical proficiency in the delivery, maintenance and operation of specialized lasers for use in urology surgery cases.

Responsibilities

• Transport laser equipment to and from facilities in the KC Metro area for use in urology surgeries and assist surgeons with holmium laser procedures.
• Maintain proper equipment for use during laser procedures, manage laser fibers, and adhere to operating room protocols, strict safety standards, and aseptic techniques, including sterilization when required.
• Maintain company assigned vehicle at all times, as well as attend to vehicle cleanliness and vehicle transport to service vendors for routine maintenance and/or repair.
• Comply with all MAKSA and facility specific procedures and protocols regarding patient safety and laser equipment.
• Successful completion of training regarding laser physics, laser safety, laser unit usage and energy delivery, as well as troubleshooting laser units as needed after initial training period.
• Manage laser cases after normal business hours and during weekends, per on call schedule rotation.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License in Kansas and Missouri
• Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician Certification Preferred

Pay: $24.25 - $31.25 per hour
