Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laser Welder Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating metal components and assemblies according to technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise in welding, measuring, and metalworking will help ensure the production of durable, precise, and high-quality metal products that meet industry standards.

Duties

• QC at the source, check work before moving on to next routing
• Enforce the safety standards and policies for the fabrication department
• Cross train in other work centers as needed
• Set up, adjust, and operate hand-held or automated laser welding systems.
• Clean, grind, and prep metal surfaces and joints before welding
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine dimensions and tolerances
• Examine finished welds using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot minor faults, keep the work cell clean, and follow safety rules

Skills

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings accurately
• Skilled in using welding equipment
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication
• Knowledge of shop math necessary for measurements, calculations, and layout work
• Ability to operate measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers precisely
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to welding

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
