Lathe Machine Operator

We are looking for an experienced Lathe Machine Operator / Welder to work in our mobile crane rental company’s garage/workshop.

The candidate will be responsible for lathe machine work required for the repair, modification, and fabrication of mobile crane and workshop components. The role also includes welding, gas cutting, and general fabrication work as required by the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual lathe machines for repair and fabrication of mechanical parts.
• Carry out turning, threading, boring, facing, drilling, and related machining work.
• Repair or manufacture bushes, pins, shafts, sleeves, and other crane/workshop components as required.
• Perform welding and gas cutting for repair and fabrication jobs.
• Take accurate measurements and maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
• Work according to samples, measurements, technical drawings, or instructions from the maintenance team.
• Carry out basic maintenance and proper care of lathe, welding, and workshop equipment.
• Support the mobile crane maintenance team with machining and fabrication requirements.

Requirements:

• Good experience operating manual lathe machines.
• Experience in welding and gas cutting is required.
• Previous experience in a heavy equipment, mobile crane, construction equipment, or automobile workshop is preferred.
• Ability to independently handle repair and fabrication jobs.
• Candidates available for immediate joining will be preferred.
